Necessary materials:
50 g fir Extra Merino Schaschenmayr (100% merino wool, 130 m/50g);
Andre no. 2,5, nr. 3 and no. 3,5;
Explanation knitting:
On the andrels no. 2,5 cast on 128 stitches. The stitches are closed in a circle and knit 2 rows with double elastic, after which it is knitted with needle no. 3 elastic 1 x 1 (1 front eye, 1 back eye) – 3 cm and a row with all front stitches.
Next, it will be knitted with needle no. 3.5. Knit 4 rows with all the stitches back, then on 35 stitches from the center is knit according to the scheme, the other stitches will knit as purl stitches.
Starting with the penultimate row of the scheme, there will be made decreases of stitches for the realization of the top of the hat.
In scheme no. 2 are represented these decreases and their positioning on the hat. The decreases consist of 4 gussets. Between each gusset will be 31 stitches. Subtract how many 8 stitches over 1 row: Purl 2 stitches together, 1 eye girl, Purl 2 stitches together.
Knit 7 rows with subtractions = 72 stitches, after which 4 more gussets are made from a front eye with decreases in mesh before and after this stitch. The front stitches of the previous gussets will knit front until the end of the work, without any further loss of meshes before and after them.
After 8 rows with decreases of stitches on the working needle remain 8 stitches. The working thread is cut, leaving a longer end. The end of the thread is passed through the 8 remaining stitches, it is accurately tightened and fixed on the back side of the work.
