Sweater with flowers and aran pattern
size: 34/36-38/40-42/44;
Materials needed:
650-700-750 g for Samson (100% merino wool, 85m/50 g);
Andre no. 4 and no. 5;
Knit density: 18 stitches x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Knitting explanation:
Spate: On Andre no. 4 cast on 86-94-102 stitches and knit 6 cm elastic 2 x 2 (2 front stitches, 2 purl stitches). The first row, back row, it will be knitted in the following way: 1 edge stitch, 1 back eye, elastic 2 x 2.
Next, it will be knitted with needle no. 5 in the following manner: 1 edge stitch, 12-16-20 purl stitches, 60 or 64 stitches the model shown in the diagram, 12-16-20 purl stitches, 1 edge stitch = 90-98-106 stitches. In even rows the stitches are knitted as shown. Row 1 is knitted only once, after which rows 3-42 of the scheme are repeated.
After 40-38-36 cm from the first row, for cutting the sleeves, 4-5-7 stitches are closed on both sides, then in every 2nd row close 4-5-5 x 1 stitch = 74-78-82 stitches.
After 57 cm knit from the first row, for the shoulder line, 3 stitches are closed on both sides, then in every 2nd row close from both sides 6-4-2 x 3 stitches and 1-3-5 x 4 stitches. The remaining 24 stitches are left on a helping needle.
Face: It will be knitted like the back, except for the shoulder lines.
After 55 cm knit from the first row, after row 40 of the pattern, for neck trimming, 16 stitches from the center are left on an auxiliary needle and in every 2nd row, 4 x 1 stitches are closed from both sides of the neckline.
After 63 cm knit from the first row, close the remaining 25-27-29 stitches for each shoulder line.
Sleeve (2 pieces): On Andre no. 4 cast on 34-38-42 stitches and knit 6 cm elastic 2 x 2 (2 front stitches, 2 purl stitches). The first row, back row, it will be knitted in the following way: 1 edge stitch, 1 back eye – 1 front eye – 1 back eye, 2 front stitches – 2 purl stitches – 2 front stitches.
Next, it will be knitted with needle no. 5 in the following manner: 1 edge stitch, 0-2-4 purl stitches, 32 or 36 stitches the pattern shown in the diagram without flower (it will be knitted from the first to the 18th stitch, then from stitch 47 to stitch 64. Row 1-2 is knitted once, after which rows 3-18 are repeated), 0-2-4 purl stitches, 1 edge stitch = 38-42-46 stitches.
In every 8th row from elastic, 5 x 1 stitches are added from both sides, in every 6th row 10 x 1 stitch – (in every 6th row 15 x 1 stitches and in every 4th row 2 x 1 stitches) – (in every 6th row 10 x 1 stitch and in every 4th row 10 x 1 stitch) = 68-76-86 stitches. The added stitches will be knitted as purl stitches in front rows and purl stitches in purl rows.
After 48 cm knit from the first row, 4-5-7 stitches are closed on both sides, in every 2nd row 4 x 1 stitch, in every 4th row 5-4-2 x 1 stitch and in every 2nd row 4-6-10 x 1 stitch. In the next front row, close the remaining 34-38-40 stitches.
finishing: The details get a little wet and straighten. They are left to dry and their seams are made.
Pass the stitches left on the 2 auxiliary needles onto the working needle, and between these, 19 stitches = 78 stitches are mounted on Andrea.
The stitches are closed in a circle and knit 1 circular row with all purl stitches and 1 circular row with all purl stitches. In the next row, all eyes close.
