Necessary materials:
200 g for gri (100% wool, 380 m/100g);
100 g for gri (80% mohair, 20% silk, 250 m/25 g);
Circular irons no. 3.5 and no. 5.5, length 80 cm.
Knit density: 16 stitches x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm with needles no. 5.5.
Knitting explanation:
The sweater is knitted as a single detail from the base of the neck down. It will be knitted in two strands, combining the two types of thread. Each circular row starts from the middle of the back.
On the knitting needles no.3.5 are cast 104 stitches. The stitches are closed in a circle and a marker is attached. Knit with elastic 1 x 1 (1 front eye, 1 back eye) – 1.5 cm.
Next, it will be knitted with needles no. 5.5, fixing a marker as follows: 14 front stitches, Marker 1, 12 front stitches, Marker 2, 12 front stitches, Marker 3, 28 knit stitches, Marker 4, 12 front stitches, Marker 5, 12 front stitches, Marker 6, 14 front stitches.
Knit 4 circular rows in the following way:
Row 1:* knit with knit stitches up to the last 2 stitches before M1, add 1 eye face twisted to the right, 4 purl stitches, add 1 face stitch twisted to the left, knit with stitches front to the last stitch before M2, add 1 eye face twisted to the right, 2 front stitches, add 1 face stitch twisted to the left, knit with knit stitches up to the last 2 stitches before M3, add 1 eye face twisted to the right, 4 purl stitches, add 1 front stitch twisted to the left*, repeat *-* with markers 4,5,6 = 12 stitches added.
Row 2 and 4: knit with stitches front and purl stitches (as the stitches are presented).
Row 3:* knit with knit stitches up to the last 2 stitches before M1, 4 purl stitches, add 1 face stitch twisted to the left, knit with knit stitches up to the last 2 stitches before M3, add 1 eye face twisted to the right, 4 purl stitches, *, repeat *-* with markers 4 and 6 = 4 stitches added.
Rows 1-4 are repeated still 19 times = 424 stitches.
The next circular row will knit with knitting needles no.3.5 in the following way: knit with elastic 1 x 1 (1 front eye, 1 back eye) up to M1 plus another 2 stitches, stitches up to the last 2 stitches before M3 are passed on a helpful needle (sleeve 1), further knit stitches as they present up to M4 plus another 2 stitches, stitches up to the last 2 stitches before M6 are passed on a helpful needle (sleeve 2), the remaining stitches are knit elastically 1 x 1.
Knit straight another 5 cm, after which the eyes close.
Sleeve: It will knit with knitting needles no.3.5 with elastic 1 x 1 (1 front eye, 1 back eye) on the 40 stitches from both sides and on 20 stitches from each side from the markers. The remaining stitches are passed on a helpful needle. It will knit a cuff of length 25 cm. Close the stitches.
finishing: Using the 'kitcheners stitch' method join the sleeves with the front and back. The ends of the threads are hidden.
