It is mounted on andre no. 3.5- 4 stitches and knit with jersey point 75 rows. After 75 knitted rows, the stitches are closed and sewn on the edges. The knitted detail represents the elastic of the beret and must be well fixed on the cranial circumference.
In continue, from the edge of the elastic, it is mounted on the anchors no. 4- 78 stitches. The eyes close in a circle.
The next row will be knitted as follows: (1 front eye (2 purl stitches, add 1 purl stitch behind and in front of the next stitch)x4)x6 = 102 stitches.
Next, approximately 14 cm will be knitted as follows: (1 front eye, 16 purl stitches) x6, after which the top of the hat will be made.
In every 2nd row, knit 2 stitches together purl before and after the front knitted stitch.
When Andrea will have 18 stitches left, it will be knitted in the following way: (1 eye girl, 2 stitches purl together) x 6 = 12 stitches.
The working thread is cut, leaving a longer end. The end of the thread is passed through the remaining 12 stitches. The thread is tightened and fixed on the back side of the work.
If you want the eyes to be more prominent, in a circular row they will be knitted as front stitches, in the next row, the working thread will pass after each of them.
Funda: Cast on 26 stitches and knit 40 cm with jersey stitch, after which the eyes close.
A bow is made from the knitted strip that will be sewn above the sewn edge of the elastic (see the picture).
