Orange jacket
Age: 3 years;
Jacket length: 55 cm.
Necessary materials:
150 g for orange ;
Andre no. 5,5 and no. 4;
3 buttons;
Knit density: 3.5 stitches = 2.5 cm;
Knitting explanation:
The jacket will be knitted from top to bottom.
77 stitches are placed on needles no. 4 and 10 rows of lazy stitch are knitted.
In the next row, the stitches are divided according to the scheme. The first and last 7 stitches will be knitted in lazy stitch until the end of the work. On the lane of the right front side, 3 ditches will be made( 2 stitches together front, 1 life): the first in row 5 and the next 2 at equal distances between them.
Next, 32 rows will be knitted according to scheme number 1, then the stitches are divided as follows: 42 stitches each for the front parts, 45 stitches for each sleeve and 63 stitches for the back.
The stitches for the sleeves are left on one auxiliary thread.
So that the back does not sag, 2.5 cm short rows will be knitted with jersey stitch, then move on to knitting all the stitches on the front and back.
Next, the stitches of the front and back parts will be knitted in stockinette stitch – 32 rows, then the stitches will be knitted according to scheme number 2 – 30 rows.
The bottom edge of the jacket is finished with 4 rows of lazy stitch.
The stitches of the first sleeve are passed on the needles. From the edge of the sleeve cut (from under the arm) 5 more stitches are cast on andrea. The stitches are closed in a circle and knit 7 rows of lazy stitch, then the eyes close.
The same is done with the stitches of the second sleeve.
Buttons are sewn.
Good evening ,
I would like to knit the above jacket for my niece.
Please explain to me , in words the meaning of the signs from scheme 1 . I can manage with scheme 2….Working scheme 1 shows the width of the jacket?
Thank you for help!
Hello!
In schema 1, o- it's jet, the x-shaped sign – two crossed stitches to the right which are knitted in the following way: take 1 stitch without knitting on a needle, Andrea after the work, 1 eye girl, the girl knits the stitch from the helper andrea.
32 rows will be knitted according to this pattern, after which the stitches are divided and knitted according to the description.
Good luck!
Thanks for the reply!
Hello, please help me with scheme 2, I understand that the circle is jeteu, but I don't understand the other symbol that appears in the diagram. Thank you in advance!
Besides jeteu, you have two more signs: the one with three legs down repeats 3 stitches together facing to the left, the one with two legs down- 2 stitches together face to the left.
