End of autumn beret
Necessary materials:
120 g fir Baby Alpaca Chunky (Cascade Yarns);
andre no. 4.5;
andre no. 8;
Description of the work:
It is mounted on brackets no. 4.5- 72 stitches. The eyes close in a circle. The place where they close is marked with a marker. Knit 10 rows of elastic 2×2. For an effect look, the elastic of the beret can be knitted with a contrasting or darker yarn from the same range.
Stitches will be added in the next row: 3 stitches face, 1 eye added. The eye is added either from behind the eye 3 or between the eye 3 and 4 = 96 stitches.
Then, will knit with knitting needles no.8 as follows:
Row 1, 2 and 3: *2 purl stitches, 6 front stitches*, repeat *-* until the end of the row;
Row 4: *2 purl stitches, 6 stitches crossed to the left (are taken on a helpful needle 3 stitches of the 6, andreaua is positioned in front of the work, 3 stitches face, then will knit the stitches face on the helpful needle andreaua), 2 purl stitches, 6 front stitches*, repeat *-* until the end of the row;
Rows 1-4 will be repeated 2 more times. We will finally have 3 torsades.
Next is the knitting of the top of the beret. It will decrease the stitches in the following way:
Row 1: *2 purl stitches, 6 stitches face, 2 purl stitches, 4 front stitches, 2 stitches together front to the left*, repeat *-* until the end of the row = 90 stitches;
Row 2: *2 purl stitches, 6 stitches face, 2 purl stitches, 5 stitches face*, repeat *-* until the end of the row = 90 stitches;
Row 3: *2 purl stitches, 6 stitches face, 2 purl stitches, 3kours front, 2 stitches together front to the left*, repeat *-* until the end of the row = 84 stitches;
Row 4: *2 purl stitches, 6 stitches face, 2 purl stitches, 4 front stitches*, repeat *-* until the end of the row = 84 stitches;
Row 5: *2 purl stitches, 6 stitches face, 2 purl stitches, 2 front stitches, 2 stitches together front to the left*, repeat *-* until the end of the row = 78 stitches;
Row 6: *2 purl stitches, 6 stitches face, 2 purl stitches, 1 eye girl, 2 stitches together front to the left*, repeat *-* until the end of the row = 72 stitches;
Row 7: *2 purl stitches, 6 stitches face, 2 purl stitches, 2 stitches together front to the left*, repeat *-* until the end of the row = 66 stitches;
Row 8: *2 purl stitches, 6 stitches crossed to the left, 1 back eye, 2 stitches together back to the left*, repeat *-* until the end of the row = 60 stitches;
Row 9: *2 purl stitches, 6 stitches face, 2 stitches together back to the left*, repeat *-* until the end of the row = 54 stitches;
Row 10: *2 purl stitches, 5 stitches face, 2 stitches together front to the left*, repeat *-* until the end of the row = 48 stitches;
Row 11: *2 purl stitches, 4 front stitches, 2 stitches together front to the left*, repeat *-* until the end of the row = 42 stitches;
Row 12: *2 purl stitches, 3 stitches face, 2 stitches together front to the left*, repeat *-* until the end of the row = 36 stitches;
Row 13: *2 purl stitches, 2 front stitches, 2 stitches together front to the left*, repeat *-* until the end of the row = 30 stitches;
Row 14: *2 purl stitches, 1 eye girl, 2 stitches together front to the left*, repeat *-* until the end of the row = 24 stitches;
Row 15: * 2 stitches together backside to the left, 2 stitches together front to the left*, repeat *-* until the end of the row = 12 stitches;
Row 16: * 2 stitches together front to the left *, repeat *-* until the end of the row = 6 stitches;
The working thread is cut leaving a longer end. Pass the end of the thread through the 6 remaining stitches. The thread is tightened and fixed on the back side of the beret.
