Necessary materials:
50 g thread k001 Sublime baby cashmere merino silk dk shade 121 mousse – for the hat;
200 g thread k001 Sublime baby cashmere merino silk dk shade 121 mousse – for the hat;
circular no. 4 and no. 3.25;
The density of the work: 22 stitches x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
Description of the work:
headpiece: It is mounted on the andrels no. 3.25 – 101 stitches and knit 11 cm lazy point, the last row being purl row. In the next row they will knit: 9 stitches face, 2 stitches together face, (7 stitches face, 2 stitches together face)*9, 9 front stitches = 91 stitches. After that, 4 rows of jersey stitch will be knitted with needles no. 4.
The top of the hat:
Row 1: 1 eye girl, (2 stitches together face, 4 front stitches)*15 =76 stitches.
Rows 2-4: they will be knitted straight with stockinette stitch;
Row 5: 1 eye girl, (2 stitches together face, 3 stitches face)*15 = 61 stitches.
Rows 6-8: they will be knitted straight with stockinette stitch;
Row 9: 1 eye girl, (2 stitches together face, 2 front stitches)*15 = 46 stitches.
Rows 10-12: they will be knitted straight with stockinette stitch;
Row 13: 1 eye girl, (2 stitches together face, 1 eye girl)*15 = 31 stitches.
Rows 14-16: they will be knitted straight with stockinette stitch;
Row 17: 1 eye girl, (2 stitches together face)*15 = 16 stitches.
The working thread is cut, leaving a longer end. The end of the thread is passed through the remaining 16 stitches. The thread is tightened and fixed on the back of the hat.
The seam of the cap is made.
flowers:
The petals: It is mounted on the 3.25-60 mesh knitting needles. In the next row it will be knitted (1 eye girl, 8 stitches close)*6 = 12 stitches. The working thread is cut leaving a longer end. The end of the thread is passed through the remaining 12 stitches. The thread is tightened and fixed.
The center of the flower: It is mounted on anchors no. 3.25 – 1 eye.
Row 1: 1 front stitch will be knitted from the stitch on Andrea, 1 back eye, 1 eye girl, 1 back eye, 1 front stitch = 5 stitches.
Row 2: purl all stitches;
Row 3: all eyes face;
Row 4: 2 stitches purl together, 1 back eye, 2 stitches purl together = 3 stitches.
Row 5: Take 1 stitch on the left side without knitting, 2 stitches together face. The stitch on the left side is passed over the stitch resulting from the decrease of the 2 stitches. = 1 eye.
The working thread is cut, leaving a longer end. The end of the thread is passed through the remaining eye. The thread is tightened and fixed.
3 flowers will be knitted (see the picture). The center of the flower will be sewn to the petals.
The flowers will be fixed on the headband of the hat as shown in the picture.
