JIFFY-7 pills
JIFFY-7 pills are successfully used to propagate African violets. These pellets are made from steam sterilized peat and enriched with fertilizers and pH regulators, a fact that ensures for a period of approximately two weeks not only a very low mortality of the flower babies, but also a vigorous and uniform development of them.
The pill is inserted into a disposable glass and water is poured over it, about half a glass. After 2-3 minutes it swells, increasing its volume by almost 5 times and turns into a small ghivechi dressed in a biodegradable material. This pot has in the middle a small dimple, in which the leaf is planted, Seeds, chickens of violet.
Once we planted the leaf, seed or brood of African violet, the cup is placed in a hermetically sealed transparent plastic box (we create a small greenhouse). The seedling gets wet once a week, when the pill dries and gets a reddish shade. About a month later, the first chicks appear. The chicks are left in the small greenhouse next to the mother leaf until they reach a length of 3-4 cm. In this case, the seedling gets wet a little more often, once every 3-4 days.
In the case of chickens, rooting takes a little faster, 2-3 weeks.
The Norwegian pill gets rid of many problems:
1. Ensures optimal seed germination, and the stems of african violet, puppies being immune to all kinds of diseases.
2. If we have planted seedlings or we want to rejuvenate an African violet using jiffy-7 pill, their roots develop faster.
3. Biodegradable mesh protects the plant from soil pests.
4. The transplant shock disappears and eliminates damage or loss of purple offspring.
5. The pill has a high water retention capacity.
