Bulgarian cucumbers
Ingredients for a 1l jar:
– medium sized cucumbers;
– 1 small onion;
– 1 clove of garlic;
– 5 black peppercorns;
– 4-5 bay leaves;
For the marinade (1/2 l):
– 2 teaspoons of salt;
– 4 teaspoons of sugar;
– 3 tablespoons of 90% vinegar
Preparation:
Water with sugar and salt boil. Add the vinegar.
In the 1 l jar place the onion cut into slices, garlic clove, black peppercorns, bay leaves and cucumbers.
Pour hot marinade over the cucumbers and sterilize the jar for another 8 minutes, then it is hermetically sealed.
