Cone hat

A good friend of mine asked me one day to translate from Russian the knitting pattern of this hat. And if I still translated it, I thought it would be good to post it on the website, it can be good for someone. Succes!

size: cranial circumference – 50 cm

The hat is knitted in the round

Required: Mondial Delicata Baby wool (100% merino sheep wool, 50g – 215 m, knit in 2 threads-120g, andre with string № 3.5, crochet hook № 3.5

child: knit 2 front stitches, 2 on the back.

Way of working: Take 4 stitches and knit as follows: 1 edge stitch, 2 stitches on the face, 1 edge stitch. In the rows on the wrong side, knit according to the scheme. 35 cm is knitted in this way. After, start adding stitches from parts to form the ears of the hat- before stitch 1 on the edge, one stitch is added from both sides. The added stitches are included in the knitting of the bat. Continue adding stitches until 22. The second ear of the hat is knitted in the same way.

Continue knitting in the following way: 22 stitches of one ear + 34 stitches for the front of the hat + 22 stitches of ear 2 + 26 stitches for the back(neck). Continue knitting in a circle, without the knitting twisting. Knit a double crochet, 2 purl stitches of approximately 3 cm. In the next row, proceed to knitting the model according to the scheme, repeating the ratio 6 times , (distributing the pattern in such a way that the 'ribbon' with cones is located in the center of the front part of the hat), simultaneously decrease 8 stitches equally.

It is knitted according to the scheme in which all the circular rows are shown.

At the end, the remaining stitches are removed and tied in a 'tail'.

The hat is finished with crochet in the following way: 1 row of double crochets without a purl with 2 double crochets between each 2 pairs of double crochet stitches, the stitches are finished with the "crab's step" pattern.
